Have you ever looked at your skin and thought… wait, what is going on?
Maybe your skin is suddenly breaking out, feeling really dry, more sensitive than usual, or it just doesn’t feel like itself.
Before you start buying a bunch of new products or trying to fix everything at once, I want you to pause for a second… and actually listen to your skin.
Because sometimes, your skin is trying to tell you something.

The first thing I want you to think about is… what changed?
Did you start using a new product? Maybe you’ve been exfoliating more than usual. Maybe you’ve been under more stress, you haven’t been sleeping as much, you’ve been traveling, the weather changed, or even your diet has looked a little different.
Sometimes the change in your skin isn’t random. There may have been a change somewhere else that your skin is responding to.
The second thing I want you to pay attention to is… how does your skin actually feel?
We tend to look at our skin and immediately focus on what we see. Like, ‘I have a breakout,’ or ‘I’m really dry,’ or ‘I’m getting red.’
But I want you to notice how your skin feels, too.
Does it feel tight after you wash it? Does it feel uncomfortable, itchy, burning, extra oily, or more sensitive than normal?
Those little changes can give you a lot of information about what your skin might need.
And the third thing I want you to ask yourself is… is this a pattern?
Is this something that keeps happening after you use a certain product?
Does your skin change when you’re more stressed or not sleeping well?
Does it happen around a certain time of the month, when the weather changes, or after you’ve been traveling?
Start paying attention to those patterns, because the more you understand your skin, the easier it becomes to figure out what it may be asking for.
And that’s really what I mean when I say, listen to your skin.
I don’t want you to look at one breakout, one dry patch, or one bad skin day and immediately think, ‘I need to fix this.’
I want you to step back and ask, what is my skin trying to tell me?
Because your skin isn’t something you have to fight. It’s something you can learn to understand.
And that’s exactly how I approach skincare at Harmonizing Beauty. Before we decide what your skin needs, I want to understand you, your skin, and what’s actually been going on.
